Fitness University Summer Camp
Your child will learn how to improve health, fitness, nutrition, and overall wellbeing in our summer wellness program. This program is designed to teach youth how to live a long and healthy life using fun and innovative approaches! Kids Kollege of Art: Ages 6-12
Sponsored by the Department of Art and Design, Kids Kollege offers exciting art activities in various media including painting, sculpture, printmaking and photo related projects. Learn to Fence: Ages 8 and up
Fencing is a graceful, fast-moving, and exciting Olympic sport and is a terrific workout for both body and mind. It develops discipline, agility, concentration, speed and timing. More importantly however, fencing is fun! Introductory and Advanced classes offered. Math Camps: Grades 4-8 and High School
www.txstate.edu/mathworks Mathworks hosts the following three summer math programs:
• Half Day Junior Summer Math Camp for 4th-8th grade students, two weeks long
• Residential Junior Summer Math Camp for 6th-8th grade students, two weeks long
• Honors Summer Math Camp for high school students, six weeks long

Music Camp Series - Summer 2013
• Piano Festival, International - June 1–9 - Private lessons, master classes, recitals, seminars, lectures
and recreational activities. Pianists ages 11–18 and piano teachers of all ages are welcome.
• Concert Band Camps - June 9-14 - Middle School and High School - Concert, salsa and jazz bands; applied
lessons; elective courses; chamber music.
• SASI Marching Camp - June 16-19 - SASI Drum Major Clinic, SASI Color Guard Camp -

• Strings Camp - June 23-29 - Four string orchestras, private lessons, chamber music electives
• Choir Camp - July 10-13 - Junior High - Mixed voice choir directed by nationally recognized guest artist,
daily camp activities
• Choir Camp - July 15-18 - High School All-State Preparatory - Intense music preparation, outstanding
section leaders, superior camp activities, private lessons and instruction available, specialized diction coaching
Athletic Trainer Student Camps: Junior and Senior High
The Department of Health and Human Performance offers this camp. It consists of 3 1/2 days of intense instruction and practical experience in procedures needed by public school student athletic trainers.

FITT 240 Teen Training
Using up-to-date, scientific based training techniques our staff will help young athletes optimize their athletic potential through conditioning and nutrition. Camp will be held July 8- August 1, Mon-Thurs, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. For ages 12-18. For more information please contact the Total Wellness Program at email@example.com.
Sixth Annual Children's Summer Theatre Camp will take place the last two weeks of August before school starts, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. M-F. Early and late care will be made available for an additional fee. The cost is $335 for registrants if paid before April 1st, and $365 after April 1st. Sibling discount available. All registration forms must be accompanied with a 100.00 non refundable deposit. No spaces are held without a deposit. The two week summer theater camp is a wonderful experience for all kids involved! Children and teens ages 7 to 16 spend two weeks learning, acting, dancing and singing as they prepare to put on a full show on the final evening of camp. Students get a real life live theater experience that is not only fun and filled with creative arts but life changing as well. Space is VERY limited this year. Tracy Goodwin comes in every year from NYC to direct the camp and is an adjunct faculty in the theater department at Texas State University.
Stop Motion Animation Film Camp
Students ages 7 and up will have an opportunity to learn how to make their own stop motion animation film shorts (think Wallace and Grommit). In one week students will write a story, create characters and setting using a variety of mediums including clay, paper and Lego's. After creating story boards, students will work together as directors to film their shorts using cameras and laptop computers. It's a wonderful blend of education, art, technology and FUN! Young Writers' Camp
For students ages 6-18, camps meet at Texas State University San Marcos campus or at the Round Rock campus. Camps at the San Marcos campus will be held June 23-27, 2014 & June 30-July 3, 2014; ages 6-10, meet in the mornings; while ages 11-13 and ages 14-18, meet in the afternoons. Camps at the Round Rock campus will be held in various weekly sessions between June 9-27, 2014, for grades 1-12. Our camps are being taught by Central Texas Writing Project expert writing teachers who have received additonal hours in writing instruction and assessment.
