CAP Camp (College Access Project Summer Leadership Camp)
College Access Project (CAP) Camp is a one or two week boot camp for high school juniors and seniors to help them prepare for college. Topics such as college applications, financial aid, admission essay topics, SAT/ACT preparation, life as a college freshmen, and many more will help high school students be ready for their next major chapter in life. With the help of the G-Force mentors, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence they need to complete all the necessary steps to be accepted into a college or university. Although the camp is held on the Texas State campus, our staff will help each student decide which college or university is right for them. Camps will be held (ONE week) for incoming High School Juniors (Will be Juniors 2016-2017 school year), and (ONE week) for Incoming High School Seniors (Will be Seniors 2016-2017 school year). CAP camp is NOT an overnight camp. Participants will have to transport themselves or be dropped off at the Texas State University-San Marcos Campus each day, Monday-Friday. There is NO COST to participate in CAP camp; however, space is limited and we ask that those who sign up be committed to attending the length of their specific camp. 2016 Play and Inquiry Summer Workshop: Ages 3-8 (This camp is Full)
The Play and Inquiry Summer Workshop will be held June 13-June 30, 2016, an annual enrichment camp for children ages 3-8 years. Cost of the camp is $95 for one child, $175 for two children, and $260 for three children. The camp is offered by the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Texas State University and under the direction of Dr. Dianne Pape, Dr. Tim Kinard and Teresa Zapp. As always, this program promises to be a wonderful time for all, as the university's education students guide children's activities in art, music, woodworking, science, language arts, sand and water, and much more! Kids Kollege of Art: Ages 6-12
Sponsored by the Department of Art and Design, Kids Kollege offers exciting art activities in various media including painting, sculpture, printmaking and photo related projects. Learn to Fence: Ages 8-12, 12 and up
Respect, Honor and an Olympic sport! Fencing is a terrific workout for both body and mind. It develops discipline, agility, concentration, speed and timing. More importantly however, fencing is fun! FACTS High School Skeletal Death Investigation Camp
Participants will spend an exciting week (Aug 1-5, 2016) learning about what it takes to be a Forensic Anthropologist at the Forensic Anthropology Center at Texas State (FACTS). This will include lectures and hands-on lab activities focused on human osteology, forensic anthropology methods, outdoor search and recovery techniques, and will culminate in the excavation and analysis of skeletal material at FACTS. All of the learning will take place at FACTS in San Marcos, TX using our Texas State University Donated Skeletal Collection. This will be an exciting and intensive week of hands-on forensic anthropology. This exciting opportunity is for incoming High School Juniors or Seniors (will be Juniors or Seniors 2016-2017 school year) only. This course is NOT an overnight camp. Participants will have to transport themselves or be dropped off at FACTS each day, Monday-Friday. The cost is $500.00 per participant. Lunch is included. FAMA: Aerospace Engineering
The FAMA pre-engineering program curriculum is designed with the goal of engaging students in grade-appropriate exploration of science and mathematics concepts as well as engineering and science practices. The Aerospace Engineering Camp is a free program for 3rd to 8th grade San Marcos CISD funded by NASA. For more information on the camp, click here.
Math Camps: Grades 4-8 and High School
Mathworks hosts the following three summer math programs:
• Half Day Junior Summer Math Camp for 4th-8th grade students, two weeks long
• Residential Junior Summer Math Camp for 6th-8th grade students, two weeks long
• Honors Summer Math Camp for high school students, six weeks long

• Piano Festival, International - June 4 - June 12 - Private lessons, master classes, recitals, seminars, lectures and recreational activities. Pianists ages 11–18 and piano teachers of all ages are welcome.
• Concert Band Camps - June 12 - June 17 - Middle School and High School - Concert, salsa and jazz bands; applied lessons; elective courses; chamber music.

• Choir Camp - July 11 - July 14 - High School All-State Preparatory - Intense music preparation, outstanding section leaders, superior camp activities, private lessons and instruction available, specialized diction coaching
Athletic Trainer Student Camps
The Department of Health and Human Performance offers this camp. It consists of 3 1/2 days of intense instruction and practical experience in procedures needed by public school student athletic trainers.The camp is open to students entering freshmen year in high school through freshmen year in college.

Eighth Annual Children's Summer Theatre Camp will take place August 8th-19th, from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. M-F. Early and late care available for an additional fee. $345 early bird price until March 15th for two weeks of camp, after March 15th $375. Sibling discount available. All registration forms must be accompanied with a $150.00 non refundable deposit. The two week summer theater camp is a wonderful experience for all kids involved! Children and teens ages 7 to 15 spend two weeks learning, acting, dancing and singing as they prepare to put on a full show on the final evening of camp. Students get a real life live theater experience that is not only fun and filled with creative arts but life changing as well.
